Data Sheet Direct GPS-over-Fiber MAC8-1 KIT Description Direct GPS-over-Fiber is the world’s first 100% copper -free GPS remote antenna, eliminating the need for costly power infrastructure by Power-Over-Fiber. This new technology not only enables system improvements by eliminating all copper within the link, but also reduces the amount of hardware within the system by integrating the transmission functionality into the antenna. Features Uses Fiber Optic cable to distribute both power and signal. Allows for greater distance of up to 7km between antenna and receiver system. Less hardware due to the antenna integrated GPS- over-Fiber transmitter in addition to a portfolio of various expansion and receiver modules allows futureproof scalability of timing infrastructure and eliminates the need for multiple GPS antennas on the roof.
