GPON distribution in street cabinet This scenario describes high-density GPON distribution within a street cabinet. All homes within the distribution range are connected via point-to-point cabling to the patch area, while the GPON source is split in GPON area of the street cabinet. A simple patch cord allows the installer to connect the GPON service to a new subscriber within minutes. Alternate service providers and additional point-to-point links are also supported with this scenario.
