Evolving FTTA architecture calls for increasing numbers of RRHs and greater power consumption requirements Our presence and experience in the USA HUBER+SUHNER is a key supplier of hybrid cabling systems to operators in North America. Operators utilize MASTERLINE Extreme Hybrid and MASTERLINE Classic Hybrid solutions for critical UMTS, AWS, LTE, PCS, CBRS, LAA and 5G deployments because of their flexibility and speed of deployment. HUBER+SUHNER hybrid solutions have been deployed in over 85,000 sites across the nation. Trends and challenges in the world of Wireless Infrastructure Today‘s requirements for fiber to the antenna installations represent a major challenge for US operators. Carrier‘s investments in new tower sites have been decreasing. For financial reasons, they try to squeeze as much performance as possible out of existing sites. Generally speaking, it‘s been a big trend of network modifications that are being made to improve network performance. The increasing number of RRHs per site requires increased numbers of power conductor pairs within a hybrid FTTA cable. Usually, this would lead to an increased number of cables on a tower which could cause higher rental costs for operators. Under these circumstances, the new approach of HUBER+SUHNER is the use of the new HD 12×24 Low Inductance Hybrid cable for vertical cabling between the BBU to the RRH. HUBER+SUHNER HD 12×24 Low Inductance Hybrid The HD 12×24 Low Inductance cable, the newest addition to the MASTERLINE Classic Hybrid cabling portfolio for Verizon Wireless, brings optimization for dual-band radio and 12-OVP installations. It is the most cost efficient solution in the market today. New builds and site modifications can capitalize by using the HD 12×24 to replace 6×12 runs on a 1:2 ratio. In other words, only half as many hybrid cables are required per site. The HD 12×24 assembly minimizes the quantity of hybrid cables running up a tower with a design that provides (12) 6GA power conductor pairs, (24) single-mode fiber pairs and (4) 18GA twisted alarm pairs, all integrated in the same cable jacket. Another benefit is that the same installation hardware (hangers, snap-ins, grounding kits etc.) used for our 6×12 hybrid cable can also be used with the new HD 12x24 which means that the contractors are not required to stock additional materials. This brochure will provide the design details of this exciting new product from HUBER+SUHNER.
